1 book per month

I'm looking to read one book per month as well I saw a posted here where the original poster had mentioned that that was their goal. With four jobs Plus the doctoral program and a podcast and community events I am text for time but I really do enjoy reading. Also as a self-published author in order to create I need to process information so I want to read more so that my writing is better. Always open to recommendations.

🤯…yo, four jobs, a doctoral program, a community leader AND an author? Salute! 🫡

What are your genres of choice? Also, what’s your time management strategy? For real.

Classic books

Two years ago I decided I wanted to read more backlist books since I was just reading whatever popular book just came out. Especially older books by Black authors because their work are often left out of the lists of great classics.

Some of my favorites are Passing by Nella Larson, and Black No More by George Schuyler.

Any other classic book recs? I’m reading My Soul to Take by Tananarive Due and I’m liking it so far
